Additional information
For Ligne Roset, Ruché brings together the unusual and the traditional. The name refers to a sewing technique in which fabric is gathered or pleated; it has long served as a decoration for clothing. The unusual thing about this piece is its solid wood structure, and the traditional element: the quilting, the very heart of Ligne Roset's savoir-faire. Its tall uprights and the undulations of its duvet combine to produce a harmonious union of rigorous straight lines and soft, welcoming curves. Slender and fine, Ruché is nonetheless soft and welcoming. We might also add that the very design of Ruché offers a collection of seating which allies comfort and compactness: its depth is only 36 1/4'' / 92 cm the length of the various pieces varies between 67'' /170 cm and 78 3/4'' / 200 cm, ideal for small apartments. Finally, its seat height (17 3/4'' / 45 cm) will appeal to a broad clientèle, specifically those who reject seats which are too low. The 2 sofas are also available in a low-back version (25 1/2''/65 cm instead of 32 3/4''/83 cm), with a lower seat (15''/38 cm instead of 18 1/4''/46 cm), a greater depth (39 3/4'' /101 cm instead of 36 1/4'' /92 cm) and a backward sloping seat/back with integrated lumbar support. They offer the dual advantages of remarkable comfort as well as having the look of a truly domestic sofa, moving far away from the 'banquette' look. The lower lines enable the sofas to elegantly assimilate into all spaces, even the smallest of rooms.
