How Smart Glass Works
A simple On/Off switch transforms the glass from transparent to translucent. In transparent mode it looks like any conventional panel — clear view, full daylight. In translucent mode it acts as an electronic blind, providing privacy and security while still letting daylight through.
On — Transparent: An electric current runs through the PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) interlayer, aligning microscopic crystals along parallel axes to allow vision through the glass.
Off — Translucent: No current is applied. The PDLCs arrange randomly in droplets, scattering light as it passes through and creating the signature milky-white finish.
