Additional information
The first model of this table was designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1934 for the Paris apartment of Le Corbusier. The elegant, eye-catching table is defined by grey cast iron pedestal bases with broad, stable circular feet, sleek uprights and a marble top. Its sculptural impact makes this an exquisite, versatile, iconic piece of furniture equally appropriate in classic and modern settings. The second model was designed with a slate top for the Maison du Jeune Homme [House for a Young Man] for the Brussels Expo in 1935.
