With the mission of creating a shell chair with a more unified look that would stand as one cohesive unit, Simon Legald has created the Form Chair for Normann Copenhagen.Designed by Simon LegaldTo achieve this seamless, integrated look, a new and innovative solution for gathering the seat with the legs has been developed. The curved plastic seat and frame of oak, walnut or steel are naturally integrated with the seat using a unique cup system. The plastic seat and wood or steel legs meet elegantly, accentuating the high quality craftsmanship and the simplicity of the Scandinavian furniture design.

With its simple and contemporary design Form Armchair has a soft and welcoming silhouette and a distinctly residential look. The legs appear almost as if they are growing out of the shell. This gives the design flexibility and makes it possible to vary the frame in a great number of ways, accommodating a vast number of interiors. The Form Armchairs have great back support and provide freedom of movement while the armrests provide extra room for relaxation. The strong materials and contoured shape ensures a comfortable seating experience. Combined with a clean design, that makes Form a flexible and functional chair for any room, for example as an office chair, a dining chair or occasional chair.

Simple, welcoming, versatile. Just, designed by Iskos-Berlin is "just" a chair collection, yet a very special one.
The Just barstool is designed as an extension to the Just chair, and inherits its signature elements: the clearly defined shell shaped as a molded "sandwich" of hard and light veneers as well as the light steel base, which is discretely integrated in the molded shell, so that the chair naturally comes together as a whole.
Just is characterized by its subdued and harmonious idiom that makes the chair suitable for numerous environments and styles. "Just is not born out of the desire to design a different chair. On the contrary, we wanted to use innovative molding and assembly techniques to achieve an elegant and subtle result, full of hidden details. Good design does not necessarily have to make a lot of fuss - those who want to will see the details," say Iskos-Berlin.
The barstool comes in two heights and is available with and without a backrest.

Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small- and large scale products. Simon's designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
"Honesty is what makes a product understandable and is what describes the products functionality. If you understand the product, it does not need any explanation. The essence of my design is for it to be bought and used. Therefore, it has to satisfy not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological and aesthetic needs. For me simplicity describes the true identity of objects and makes them trustworthy. In my design, I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression."

There is something both earthily Nordic and expressively avant-garde about Normann Copenhagen’s collection of small tables that go by the name Pine. The tables are made from solid pine in a characterful and sculptural design.
The choice of pinewood sets the tone for the design of the Pine tables. The tables gain a pleasing organic quality from the wood’s distinctive grain, and the overlooked wood species is given new life in the playful form. Designer Simon Legald explains:
“In furniture design Pine has been a forgotten wood variety for quite some time. That is a pity, because pine is certainly not without its qualities. For me, the wood’s fiery growth rings and characteristic aroma represent Nordic soul and warmth. Not least, it makes a lot of sense to use a material that can be found locally in large quantities.”
With its voluminous octangular foot, Pine can lend prominence and vigour to any room. Its weighty body is gently opposed by the tabletop’s narrow, rounded edge frame, adding a visual lightness to the solid wooden design. The wood is presented in its natural form, or with a coloured wood stain, which allows the grain to show through.

Using the most elementary steel stock parts as their starting point, MSDS Studio has created an architectural little side table. Their design ‘Stock’ presents metal in a raw and deconstructed way, while retaining a delicate, rigid quality.
The table’s unconventional leg arrangement emphasises the material’s strength and produces an interesting composition of elements. The aesthetic negative spaces – the airy open area under the table top and the triangle between the angled legs – come from disregarding the traditional arrangement of table legs, creating a new form of symmetry.
Stock appears as a small, strict piece of sculpture, which also serves as a practical, stable side table.

Case is a collection of coffee tables in aluminum and oak that interprets the classic nesting tables. The Case tables have a youthful and functional form, which represents the refined industrial design approach that is designer Hans Hornemann's signature.Case is available in two complimentary sizes, where the smaller table can be put under the larger one and pulled out as needed. Hans Hornemann got the idea for the design from the simple flight cases that are used to transport sound equipment for concerts and have very strong aluminum frames. The small Case tables have lighter shades of the larger table's colors, which serve to create an elegant visual connection between the tables. With their delicate symphonies of color, the Case coffee tables are an easy way to bring a little color into your decor.
Steady is a modern take on the classic nesting tables, made from powder-coated steel and aluminum. For the design of Steady, designer Hans Hornemann has taken inspiration from the Romanesque architecture. The view in through the arches of a Romanesque arcade is interpreted in the tables’ arched legs, and in the repetition of contours as the two tables meet.
The table's lines shift from sharp to soft in a formal twist that gives the minimal design a dynamic appearance. The recurring arches are counteracted by narrow profiles in a vigorous construction that stands out as a central part of Steady’s visual expression. A wide steel frame and over-sized cylinders fix the table's elements, making it shapely, strong and steady.

There is something virtually graphic about the way the slender steel frame grows out below the Studio chair’s seat and back, framing the molded shell in an airy design. The flowing lines stand out in an eye-catching silhouette, like a line drawing or a pictogram, just as the empty spaces between the frame and the back act to define the shape. The simple construction in veneer and steel tubing directs one’s thoughts towards older French factory chairs, giving Studio its industrial notes. A design that attracts attention, but glows with pure simplicity.
The multi-purpose Studio chair series is designed for use in both domestic and public spaces. The series includes chairs, armchairs and barstools in two heights. All models are stackable, making the range suitable for restaurants and educational facilities with the need for transformable areas. The steel frame makes it easy to grab hold of the chairs and move them around as required.
Composed of just three different elements, the Jam bookcase is a cleverly and elegantly executed design. The defining element is a wedge, which allows the bookcase to be assembled without the use of screws or tools. The shelves are quite simply jammed onto the wedges and then gravity and friction take care of the rest.
"We always find ourselves captivated by the simple things that surround us – simple things that fascinate us because they only need a minimum number of elements in order to become very functional final objects. The humble wedge is a great example of such a thing. Due solely to inclining surfaces set against each other in friction, a wedge is able to support something as weighty and considerable as a door. It was this observation that led us to design a flatpack bookcase that can be assembled without the need for any tools or screws." – Rudolph Schelling Webermann
The Jam bookcase is available in various sizes and can be placed against a wall or used as a room divider. The shelves' softly rounded corners give the unit an inviting and friendly visual expression. With its versatile design, the bookcase works just as well in small apartments as it does in large offices, where its purity and materiality craft a calming and pleasant presence.

Oona is a play between shapes and contrasts. Clean lines and soft curves meet each other and go to create three unique shapes that are neither round nor square. A simple, immersed line of a darker shade breaks up the plain color of the surface. The Oona rug is available in three sizes and colors: rose, mint and grey. The rugs can be used for many purposes. For example, in the dining room, under the coffee table, next to the bed or combined for use in a hallway or large hall.

Ryan Schneider’s contribution to the Normann x Brask Art Collection is based on his piece ’Pipes Canyon Peepers’ from 2016, inspired by the dark nights and picturesque surroundings of his Joshua Tree home. This dreamy landscape, where colorful trees and owls light up in the starry night sky, unfolds in a vibrant bedspread made of cotton quilt.
“I’ve always wanted to do a blanket, and I really like the idea that you can wrap yourself up in this particular piece. Pipes Canyon at nighttime is something special. The temperature drops from hot to cold, and the scenery is so beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It makes you sleep well. To have this nocturnal image as a bedspread just feels right. Everything is so well connected.” – Ryan Schneider
There is something calming and fitting about snuggling up in Schneider’s serene Californian night image. The motif is strangely hypnotic and supernaturally peaceful. A half-moon shines from behind bare treetops. Owls, sluggish and curious at the same time, peek out from their perches on twisted branches, while a dark backdrop – not quite black, but a deep, infinite dark blue – makes trees and owls pop out with fluorescent colors in a magical and mythical scene.
