Superpose is the name of a new sculptural statement lamp by designer Frederik Kurzweg for Normann Copenhagen. The lamp consists of three bent and rounded, perforated steel sheets, which are concentrically arranged around each other, shifted at a precise 180-degree angle. Through the superimposition of the geometrical shapes it forms an impressive, sculptural appearance that changes with the viewer‘s position.This effect is emphasized by the perforated patterns making the surfaces seem more or less semitransparent. The accurately balanced proportions of the bent layers decrease towards the center of the lamp and the overlaying sheets build changing patterns by the intriguing moiré principle.

Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small- and large scale products. Simon's designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually. "Honesty is what makes a product understandable and is what describes the products functionality. If you understand the product, it does not need any explanation. The essence of my design is for it to be bought and used. Therefore, it has to satisfy not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological and aesthetic needs. For me simplicity describes the true identity of objects and makes them trustworthy. In my design, I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression."

Tuba is a series of steel bowls inspired by the shape of flared, cylindrical bells – as seen in Tivoli Garden’s streetlights. The mouth of the bowl opens like a tuba, giving it a friendly and welcoming expression.
Tuba is made of steel that has been spun and then painted to give it a smooth, even surface. The series comes in three sizes with a choice of colors in Golden Khaki, Antique Celadon and Dark Green.
The Tuba bowl works well as a salad bowl, for storage or as a vase for flowers arrangements.

Placed inside one another, the four trays create a visual effect like a peacock spreading its feathers. Use them individually for keys, snacks, candy or office supplies, or layer them on top of one another for decoration.

The corrugated steel plates create beautiful reflections of the bulb’s light, adding atmosphere to any décor. Tivoli Gardens’ exceptional use of patterns and lights inspired the grooved reflections, while the shape is based on round hot air balloons.

The Bon lamps are made of molded twisted zinc alloy with gorgeous brass plating details that give the series a playful, yet exclusive look.
Their shape is partly inspired by spiral columns inside Tivoli, and partly by the beautiful twisted patterns that arise when cooking candy – hence the name Bon.
The Bon series consist of two pendants and one table lamp. Each comes in a choice of three colors: Metal Grey, Garden Green, and Black.
